Energi Danmark's IT department comprises a team of innovative professionals who develop software and other ad hoc solutions in Microsoft's latest development platforms. We always strive for the best solutions together with knowledge of new development platforms to make sure that our company has the best competitive position in the market.

The IT department keeps up with training courses, seminars and certifications on a continuous basis and we want our team members to develop equally with other large IT companies.

The department does research and development in several different areas such as databases, NT Services, tool bar applications, Office applications and Windows applications. In short, we work with both client and server based solutions.

Development is the future, and this is what we focus on at Energi Danmark.

Optimization

Energi Danmark continuously improves and develops models and methods for use in the electricity sector. The development takes place in the Energi Danmark department of Analysis and Model Development. Models for consumption have been the core business area since the company started, and the models are continuously improved and developed on the basis of the latest research results in the area.

As a relative new project, Energi Danmark has launched an optimization project for production. The project is developed in Visual Studio .NET, and its purpose is to help small electricity producers to act in the free market on a daily basis. The project includes an optimization of the producers' production seven days ahead on an hourly basis, where the solution indicates which units the producer should start and when in order to optimize his earnings. In this connection, the KIP price for the producer is calculated, and the producer is then able to keep up with the development of the price. This gives the producers a tool for use in the daily planning and optimization.
